I Really (x5) Love This Book

I really, really, really, really, really love this series. So, don’t go into this review hoping for something profound. It’s just a silly little harem comedy. It’s gone so far past parody at this point that it’s just pure joy. I don't quite understand why this series is released under the 'Ghost Ship' label that SevenSeas has going right now? That label, from what I understand is reserved for explicit series featuring lots of nudity and sex, but this series is much more wholesome. This volume in particular - SUPER wholesome. The cuteness level is over the top in parts. 

Girlfriend Count in this volume +2. They’re both great, and the arcs we get introducing them are both great. But, let’s face it, all the girlfriends in this series are great in their own way.

I think we may need to develop a stat power rankinkg system like in pokemon for his girlfriends by the end of this. Each of them has their own personal strengths and weaknesses. Shizuka has max power in cuteness, for example, but Hahari's sexiness stat would be over-the-top.

This book had, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest back-to-back 2-page spreads in the HISTORY of manga. When you get there, you’ll understand. I truly hope the translator got paid by the word, cus otherwise… ouch. The anime got announced officially today, so I anticipate this series will be growing in popularity quite a lot.

Hungry for Volume 3 Sorry, I couldn't resist the urge to pun. But for real. When is volume 3 coming out, cus I need another serving of this pronto. (again, I apologize for the food jokes). Actually, physically hungry. This manga is a feast for the eyes. It's been years since I lived in Japan (I left in 2015 to return to the US for health reasons), but this has me hankering for Japanese cuisines I've not had in ages. Roll Cake, Character Bento, Stollen, Anko. Good lord I need to go order food....  Hopefully listing a bunch of the foods they eat in this volume didn't spoil anything,

Manga Review: "I Don't Know Which Is Love" vol.1

I don't know if this is the only harem yuri series that exists... but it's the only one I think I've ever read. I'm a sucker for cute romance series. So, when I saw that we were getting a light-hearted new yuri series from Yen Press I decided I had to pick it up. I'd say I'm a pretty big fan of the harem romcom genre to be honest, since I grew up on a steady diet of Tenchi Muyou and the like. So, the idea of a yuri harem series intrigued me. I did a quick google search for "yuri harem manga" and couldn't really find much - certainly nothing on my shelves. So, this would be a first for me. The plot for this one: In high school, Mei was in love with a girl who left her when she found a boyfriend, now in college, Mei is determined to get a girlfriend. I'd say the struggle in this is going to be making JUST ONE girl happy, because from her first day of school Mei already has a sea of admirers, each of whom falls for a differnet aspect of Mei based

Manga Review: "Run Away With Me Girl" vol. 2

I had Norah Jones's "Come Away With Me" stuck in my head after reading this for some reason I was on the fence about whether or not I was going to continue this series after the first volume, despite giving it five stars, but after reading the 2 nd book I’m glad I did. The ‘running away’ starts here and I definitely enjoyed seeing them escape. I’m very hopeful for the relationship between Maki and Midori and I wish them the best (reasonably sure we’re heading toward a happy ending now not some lovers’ suicide/tragic thing, but who knows). More than anything I just want Midori’s fiancé to disappear from existence. Dude is a scumbag. Hoping he’s not in book 3 much. This manga has this weird way of flittering between beautiful and depressing that it’s rather tough to read, but I think it’s worth it. When we see Midori from Maki’s perspective and she’s always sparkling it really hits me with a sense of wonder – but then you see the world from Midori’s side and things are rar
